FOIL STAMPING
Of course we love foiling at Laserfoil! Foil stamping will give you the most beautiful eye catching result for your printed items. We have so many gorgeous colour options. An ‘old school’ process very similar to letterpress printing, foil stamping requires a foil block to be custom made with your artwork etched into a magnesium plate: this means foil stamping suits larger print runs.
FEATURES OF THIS PROCESS
- Foil stamping works on most paper and cardstocks
- Gives an indented look when printed on soft stocks
- Foil Stamping allows use of heavy and textured stocks, such as 600gsm+ Kraft boards and cotton rag stocks like lettra crane
- Requires a ‘foil block’ to be made. This is a one off cost as the foil block can be used many times
- The cost of plates means foil stamping suits medium or larger runs: for business cards, for example, consider 500 or more cards to make it worthwhile.
- Pricing is influenced by the design – the larger the foil area, the more expensive the foil block and therefore the whole job
